I Got A Guy is based right here in Loveland, Ohio. For more than two decades we've been working on roofs across Loveland, Mason, Maineville, Madeira, West Chester, and the surrounding Greater Cincinnati area. Ohio roofs deal with a lot: hot humid summers, freeze-thaw cycles, ice dams, and the occasional bad hail or wind storm rolling through. Long enough in this market, you learn what holds up and what doesn't.
One thing worth knowing up front: a lot of roofing companies push full replacement when a repair would do, or they sell a "premium" roof when a mid-grade architectural shingle would last just as long for your situation. We try to give you a straight answer about what your roof actually needs and let you make the call.
Most calls we get are about a specific problem: a leak above the kitchen, missing shingles after a wind storm, water staining on a bedroom ceiling, or visible damage from the ground. If the underlying roof is still in decent shape, repairs are usually a few hundred to a few thousand dollars and extend the life of the existing roof by years. Common repair work includes:
If your roof is at the end of its lifespan, has multiple repair points, or has serious deck damage, full replacement is usually the smarter spend. A typical Cincinnati-area asphalt roof lasts 20 to 30 years depending on the shingle grade, ventilation, and sun exposure. When it's time, we install:
A few situations where it makes sense to get the roof inspected even if you don't see a problem from the ground:
If there's storm damage, we'll document the condition with photos so you have something to bring to your insurance carrier. The claim itself is between you and your insurance company, and we'll never recommend you file a claim for damage that isn't actually there.
Half of the shingle failures we see in older Cincinnati homes are really attic ventilation problems. A roof that can't breathe traps heat in summer and moisture in winter, which cooks shingles from the underside and causes ice dams along the eaves. When we replace a roof, we evaluate intake (soffit) and exhaust (ridge or box) ventilation and bring the system up to current standards.
We're local. Our office is in Loveland on E Kemper, not a national storm-chaser crew that disappears after the season.
20+ years in the same business. Roofing companies come and go. We've been here long enough that your warranty doesn't disappear with us.
Local experience. We've worked across Loveland, Symmes Township, Sycamore Township, Hamilton County, and Warren County for years and know the area well.
Honest estimates. We tell you up front whether your roof actually needs replacement or just repair, even when it's the smaller job for us.
One point of contact. You'll work with the same team from estimate through final cleanup.
FAQs
Both. If a roof has plenty of life left and one section is damaged, repair is almost always the better value. If the underlying decking is failing or the shingles are at the end of their lifespan, replacement makes more sense. We'll inspect honestly and tell you which makes sense for your roof.
Most of what we install is asphalt architectural shingles (Owens Corning, GAF, CertainTeed, and similar brands). We also work on metal roofing for porches and accent areas, and we handle flat-roof repair using EPDM and TPO. We'll talk through what fits your home, your budget, and how long you plan to stay in the home.
We're happy to do an inspection after a storm and document what we find so you have something to work with when you contact your insurance carrier. The claim itself is between you and your insurance company. We'll never recommend you file a claim for damage that isn't there.
Yes. We're happy to share details during your in-home estimate.
Cost depends on the size and pitch of the roof, the material, the condition of the decking underneath, and whether tear-off is required. Architectural asphalt shingles are the most common and sit in the mid-range. We'll measure the roof, inspect what's underneath, and give you a written estimate before any work starts.
