I Got A Guy is based right here in Loveland, Ohio. For more than two decades we've been installing, refinishing, and repairing floors in homes across Loveland, Mason, Madeira, Maineville, West Chester, and the surrounding Greater Cincinnati area. Long enough to have seen the transition from carpet-everywhere builds in the '90s to today's wall-to-wall hardwood and luxury vinyl plank.
Flooring is one of the most visible changes you can make to your home, and it's also one of the easiest to get wrong if the prep isn't done right. We don't cut corners on subfloor inspection, leveling, or moisture mitigation, because those are the things that decide whether your new floor still looks great in ten years.
Solid hardwood is still the gold standard for living rooms, dining rooms, hallways, and bedrooms. Engineered hardwood gives you the same look with better stability in basements, over slab, and in homes with seasonal humidity swings (which is most of Cincinnati). We install both, in pre-finished and site-finished varieties, in widths from traditional 2.25" strip up to wide-plank 7"+ boards.

Bathrooms, kitchens, mudrooms, and entryways are where tile earns its keep. Done right, with proper waterproofing membrane and a flat substrate, a tile floor outlasts everything around it. Done wrong, it cracks at the grout lines within a year. We do it right.
What we install:
If you're working within a budget, have kids and pets, or are flooring a basement, laminate and LVP are usually the right call. Both have come a long way in the last ten years. Modern LVP in particular is fully waterproof, scratch-resistant, and visually almost indistinguishable from hardwood at typical viewing distance.
We install both with proper underlayment, careful seam placement, and expansion gaps that keep the floor from buckling when the seasons change.

FAQs
Usually not. For single-room installs we seal off the work area to contain dust and noise. For whole-house flooring replacement, some homeowners prefer to be out for the heaviest demo and install days, but it's not required. We coordinate the schedule with you so it's as low-impact as possible.
Yes. Many homeowners want to pick their own hardwood species, tile, or LVP brand. We're happy to install materials you've sourced. Just keep in mind that any manufacturer defect or warranty issue is between you and the supplier.

Cost depends heavily on the material you choose and the condition of your subfloor. Hardwood and natural stone tile sit at the higher end, while laminate and LVP are more budget-friendly. We'll walk the space, ask about your priorities, and give you a written estimate before any work starts.
